Original checkering pattern restored in conjunction
with general wood restoration.

Lefever C - Grade Wood Restoration

Approximately 3/4" of the original buttplate was broken
off at the toe and much of the plate's checkering was also worn. 
Instead of replacing the plate, the lost portion was rebuilt,
recheckered and blended in with the original plate.
